Legal Services & Fee Schedule

The most common service we provide to our clients is the complete 18-Step Legal Defense Plan, however we offer a variety of different options and programs.  To learn more about the legal services we offer, go here.

No matter which option you choose, we'll always quote you a single fixed fee - one that is often far less than what other firms charge for a single attorney.  We assign up to four or more attorneys to every case, assuring our defense strategy will capture every angle of the case.

Price Shopping For Criminal Attorneys

As with any service, you get what you pay for.  Beware of any attorney that offers to take your case for an unusually low fee.  If you find an attorney willing to go to trial on your second OUI for less than seven or eight thousand dollars, turn around and run - as fast as you can!  The same applies to domestic abuse, drugs, and theft crimes.  Think about it: the attorney will not be able to afford to spend the time needed on your case, or he or she may be unqualified to handle your case properly.

The outcome of your case will typically affect the rest of your life.  If you find an attorney who will take your case for $2,000 or $3,000 less than another attorney, but the result is time in prison, did you really save money?  How much is six months to a year of your life worth to you?  How will a criminal record affect your ability to find a good job for the rest of your life?  If you haven't thought about these things, you should.

Can I Afford The Massachusetts Criminal Defense Group?

While we are not the least expensive law firm you will find, we have the experience and aggressive tactics you'll need when it comes to defending your OUI/DUI, drug charges, theft crimes, assault & battery, guns and weapons charges, or white collar crimes.

For the quality of defense we provide, our rates are unbeatable.  We offer top level defense at a price most other solo attorneys or law firms cannot because of our statewide model and the size of our firm.  We spread our fixed costs over a bigger number of cases.

The Legal Services We Offer

We offer four different programs:

  1. Free, No-Obligation Consultation:  For individuals who are looking to retain a defense team for their criminal defense, the consultation includes a review of your case and an introduction to our firm.

  2. Criminal Defense Evaluation:  For those who have an attorney or who have specific questions about their ongoing case, you may hire our defense team to address the individual complexities of case-specific situations, or address various outcome scenarios, explaining each of them to you.  Your in-depth case review includes eight different services.  We review all aspects of the investigation, the police report, expert reports, provide basic legal research, analyze the facts of your specific case, analyze the evidence of your case, develop a legal game plan, and make changing recommendations (if applicable).  The fee for this service starts at $975.

If you previously retained another lawyer, and engage us for our Second Opinion Service, we will consult and share the findings with him or her.  However, if you choose not to inform your current attorney, we will certainly be discreet.

If you choose to engage our legal representation services for the matter discussed in your evaluation, and bring us on board within 3 days, the full amount of your evaluation will be credited.

  3. Pre-Filing Defense:  If you have not (yet) been charged but are in need of legal counsel to advise or prevent impending charges, our criminal defense team will work with you, advise you, counsel you, and research for you to help you better understand the nature of what charges could be brought against you.  In order to fully understand what you are facing, we will offer guidance on how to avoid or alter impending charges, what your legal options and strategies are, and how we might be able to help represent and defend you if charges were to be filed.  We can also correspond with law enforcement - the police, county sheriff's Department, and the District Attorney's office - in an attempt to prevent you from being charged with these or any other criminal charges.  The fee for this service starts at $1,750.

  4. Complete Defense Representation:  Our flat-fee includes representation and a full defense of your entire case - from start to finish - attending all court appearances, conducting all legal research and filing all briefs and motions before the court.
  • Traffic Violations -- $975
  • Special (Administrative) Hearings -- $1,500 [1]
  • Misdemeanor Criminal Defense -- $2,500-$7,500[2]
  • Felony Criminal Defense -- $5,000+[3]

The only extra expenses are those relating to investigators, psychologists, or other non-lawyer staff.  Additionally, there may be costs associated with obtaining documents, evidence or other records.
